How do u find out what kind of case to get

I've been looking at computer cases but im kind of confused to which type to get, like how do i find out what case will fit my stuff. I have a hp desktop

Form Factor Micro ATX
would that be the kind of case id have to get one in M-ATX

most likely any ATX case will fit ATX mobo's and matx mobo's

The case should say ATX somewhere.

mid-atx = 4 External 5.25" Drive Bays and 2 External 3.5" Drive Bays

micro-atx = 2 External 5.25" Drive Bays and 1 External 3.5" Drive Bays

there are other sizes, I'm just not familiar with the measurements or compacity,

if you have a micro atx motherboard, anything as big or bigger(atx of course) should fit ok...

would all my drives and harddrives be able to fit, cause if not them im not gonna buy a case. Easy way to tell if they will fit

If you have a MicroATX desktop, you'd need a MicroATX case. Some Mid Tower accept microATX mobo's as well.

If you are worried buy a full tower case for ATX.
